SYNOPSIS:

In a small town in Maine, bursting suddenly a violent storm that ends so abruptly as it began. Then comes a fog that goes in and trapping people in their homes, supermarkets ... and is killing anyone who enters its dark.

OPINION:

third collaboration between Stephen King and Frank Darabont after the master Shawshank Redemption and interesting "The Green Mile" . This is different from the last mentioned, in the genre. While "The Mist" is a horror movie, the former were dramas, unusual in the literature of Mr. King, who has been based his literary career in terror. Darabont showed his mastery in directing "The Shawshank Redemption" but this fails more times of stress, seems to be uncomfortable in these sequences. However, in times of confusion among the people is best handled. The story tells us is a monster but Darabont usual does not give the viewer a usual final. The story ends in an open, on the contrary, the film is decided by something much more concrete and hard. In scenes of monsters and other wildlife is noticed the lack of good visual effects, in particular, stand out when they burn the stupid, it enters the supermarket fire is not very accomplished. The plot unfolds in one place and climate of dispute between the neighbors will grow as the story progresses. Ultimately, a successful film on the psychological level, but may be somewhat exaggerated. The contorted character of Marcia Gay Harden is on the edge of belief. More than his character, the reaction of the people around them. So much religious fanaticism can exist?

With so many horror films that are released each year, this is located well above average. A good story that is entertaining, it handles well the psychological aspects and gives us more than three shocks using sound.
